Lorenzo "Lolo" Schmid, Chairman, Arosa
Born in Arosa he has presided over the Board since 1992.
A former ice hockey player in the national A league and the national team, in the meantime, the lawyer prefers gentler sports. These days more than anything, his 13 year old daughter, 4 year old son and his dog keep him busy.
Nevertheless, he can't let go completely and now and again takes the ice skates out of the cupboard in order to impress his wife Patrizia and the children.
- Alois Rütsche
Alois Rütsche, Arosa
The qualified electrical engineer HTL is the owner and manager of Bassi Elektro AG in Arosa. Alois Rütsche – perhaps better known as Wisi – is married to Christine and has three daughters aged between 20 and 23. In his free time you find him mostly in the countryside. Alongside biking, cross-country skiing, skiing and trekking can also often be found on the golf course. At the same time he also loves reading, travelling or being together with good friends.
The former President of Arosa Tourist Board now has an independent seat on the Board. He also presides over the building committee in which are additionally Hitta Brunold and Lolo Schmid.
- Riet Theus
Riet Theus, Ebmatingen
The only person on the Board not from the mountains he has had an independent appointment since 1992. Additionally he has the position of President of the finance committee, in which are also Werner C. Weber and Lorenzo Schmid. Riet Theus, Dr. oec. is an independent consultant specialising in economic questions affecting tourism and transport. From 1990 – 1996 he was appointed as President of Seilbahnen Schweiz (Swiss Cable Cars), from 1991 – 1996 as President of FIANET (International Association of Cable Car Operators).
Riet Theus is married and the father of two grown-up children. In his free time he can often be found on skis or with poles doing Nordic Walking. He loves travelling just as much.
- Christian Menet
Christian Menet, Arosa
Christian Menet has been in Arosa for 19 years. The father of two daughters runs Hotel Prätschli as Director, together with his wife and is President of Arosa Tourist Board. In this function he has a place on the Arosa Bergbahnen AG Board as a representative for Arosa Tourist Board.
In his free time you will often meet him on his bike in summer and in winter, when time allows, on the ski pistes.
- Christian Brunold
Christian Brunold, Arosa
Christian – or better known as Hitta – represents within the supervisory board as the mayor the citizen of Arosa. In this function you will meet him very often in his red Jeep driving through Arosa.
The father of his 14-year-old daughter Nadine loves fishing. Therefore he travels quite often to Canada, where the big fishes are waiting for him.
