The Story of Arosa Bergbahnen AG
Arosa Bergbahnen AG is the sole owner of all the transport installations in Arosa. The majority of the shares of the company are held by inhabitants of Arosa. The council alone holds 17 % of them.
- 1930 Founding of the "Autotram AG"; Bus company Obersee-Kulm
- 1935 Bus service extends to Maran
- 1936 Bus service extends to Prätschli
- 1938 "Autotram AG" becomes "AG Autobus und Skiliftanlagen Arosa" (Bus and Ski Lift Installations plc)
- 1945 Hörnli Ski lift
- 1946 The bus goes to the Untersee in summer, for the 1st time
- 1948 Rebuilding of the Hörnli ski lift into a combination of ski and chairlifts
- 1954 "AG Autobus und Skiliftanlagen Arosa" becomes "AG Aroser Verkehrsbetriebe" (Arosa Traffic Company plc)
- 1956 Arosa-Weisshorn Luftseilbahn (LAW) (Cable Car)
- 1960 Prätschli/Tomeli Ski Lift
- 1963 Gondelbahn Arosa-Hörnli (LAH) (Gondola) and demolition of the old installation

- 1996 New artificial snow making installations, 1st stage, Opening of the Snowboard Fun Park on the Tschuggen hill
